Magnolias are one of the most spectacular flowering shrub or trees due to its stunning flower displays. This particular variety Magnolia Little Gem is a dwarf form with dark green glossy leaves and brown velvety undersides. And YES! it flowers in Singapore. Needs a well-drained soil and a position in full sun or part shade. Keep the roots cool and moist, and give an occasional deep soaking in prolonged dry periods. Remove seed heads after flowering to encourage new growth and more flowers.
